Huey the cat
Below is Huey the cat. Huey’s owner bought one of my bracelets for Huey, and another for her other cat Magoo…..as collars..I thought it was just a tiny bit different from the normal….and I like that.
NZ Tattoo and Art Festival
Trev’s asked me to put up a couple of pics of what looks like an awesome event- the NZ Tattoo and Art Festival. He’ll be there- make sure you are too!
Check out their site at nztattooart.com and you’ll be all sorted for the 27th and 28th of November.
Following are some pics from Palmertson. Simon, my son in law, was with me at the show to give a hand, and he took the shots. Duane wanted see see some, so I’ve posted some for him, and so you can see what is going on over here.
Once again I thought that this was a great event. I was surprised with a wee bit of an honour. As I had donated one of my helmets to the club last year, they kept it to present as a prize form the best open top at the show…..to top that off, I was given the honour of selecting the worthy vehicle!! Looks as though this may become an on-going thing….which is a hoot!!
I found a real well presented Roadster, painted in a great “Blood Red”. It kind of gave me a foot in two camps, as you can see if you look hard at the image of the engine….it is a Ford body, with a Chev power plant!!!!
You know sometimes it’s real tough being impartial. But with that said….those who know me, know I’m a Heathen when it comes to machinery. For me it is how it looks…it’s a design, or an aesthetic thing. But I do listen to those who do know, and take in what they say!! So often I am well advised.
One of the great things about the show was catching up with the people I know, or who know me!! There is a huge buzz about over the up coming Tattoo Show in New Plymouth 27/28 Nov. So many people are talking about it!! I’m sure it’s going to be great being there.
Palmerston North Hot Rod Club
The next meet that’ll be heading to, is the Palmerston North Hot Rod Show & Swap meet. This really is a hoot….scroll down for promo flyer/link.
This is only the second time that I have been…..but it already is in my blood stream. It is for me a must go to show!! Any leather projects/problems/questions front up and throw them at me….you won’t miss me, as I’m the bald one with too much Mo….and the Dickie Fisher stripe “Coveralls” Hope to see you there!!
The Rotorua Swap meet
Well Sunday the 11th July was the Rotorua Vintage Car Swap meet. It was the first time at the new Venue for them. They use to hold the meet at the Rotorua Horse Racing Course. They have now moved to the Stock Car Racining Track in Paradise Road. Personally I prefered this Venue. And as it was their first time there I’m sure they will grow and develop the Meet, and it’ll keep getting better. But hell was it cold first up until the frost abated…..but hey I guess it is the middle of winter. It is a meet well worth going to, and I’m looking forward to next Year!!
Swap Meets
Once again this year I’ll be at the Rotorua Vintage Car Swap meet. It’s on on Sunday 11th July. This year it’s at a new venue. It’s at the car racing track in Paradise Road (Rotorua).
Then on Saturday the 7th August…..it’s the Palmerston Nth Hot Rod Club swap meet. This is being held, as usual, at Mansfield Park. It’s a Primo site to be honest…and a hoot of a day!! Well worth the effort to get there.

The other Lambs
Here are some images of the Lamb’s (same name but not related!) 1927 Star Vintage car.
The Helmets are two I have made. They have had and worn them for a few years now. I have just finished covering the steering wheel.

Steering wheel in Paul and Jud Lamb's "Star" Vintage car, which I have covered, using motorcycle leather
